Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu traveled to Abu Dhabi on Sunday, September 27, in an unannounced visit and met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, for talks.
A senior Israeli official told Reuters that the visit was not announced in advance. No official details have been released about the content of the discussions between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that Iran and what Israel describes as the “Iranian threat” were among the main topics discussed by Netanyahu and the UAE president.
The visit comes as developments related to Iran and security and political relations among countries in the region remain important issues in the Middle East.
