A family from Herat says that after trusting an individual who promised to take them to Pakistan through smuggling routes, they lost their money, and one of their sons was also taken hostage by human smugglers.
According to information received by Panah Press, the family paid money to an individual who promised to take them to Pakistan and help them enter the country illegally. The individual had told them that he would contact the family and provide updates about their situation after they arrived in Pakistan.
However, after the family entered Pakistan, the individual who had received the money cut off contact with them and blocked all means of communication.
The family further says that one of their sons was taken hostage by a human smuggler. They say that despite their efforts, they have so far been unable to secure their son’s release.
In addition to losing their money, the family is now worried about the safety and fate of their son.
This incident once again highlights the dangers of irregular migration routes and the exploitation of vulnerable migrant families by human smugglers.
