Tiger Shroff, a famous Bollywood actor, was targeted in an armed attack on Sunday evening, October 18, in the Juhu area of Mumbai, India. According to police, three men riding motorcycles opened fire at his car. Shroff escaped unharmed, but his driver and another man were injured.
The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. near Pushpa Park, while Shroff was returning home after playing football. The injured men were taken to hospital for treatment.
Mumbai police have launched an investigation to identify the attackers and are examining footage from security cameras in the area. According to Indian media reports, police have formed 15 teams to investigate the case and have detained one person for questioning. However, the detention of this individual alone does not establish that he was involved in the attack.
Following the incident, individuals linked to the group associated with Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack in messages posted on social media. The messages referred to Shroff’s association with Salman Khan, another well-known Bollywood actor, and issued warnings to people in Mumbai’s film industry who work with Khan.
However, police have not yet confirmed the group’s claim of responsibility, and the motive for the attack and the identities of the attackers remain under investigation.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of prominent figures in the Indian film industry. In February this year, gunfire was also reported outside the home of Rohit Shetty, a well-known Bollywood director, in the Juhu area. No one was injured in that incident.
