A speech by a Taliban-supporting preacher in the Jalga area, the center of Daimirdad district in Maidan Wardak province, has circulated on social media and attracted users’ attention.
In his speech, the preacher claims that he dreamed of prophets gathering in a hall and drinking tea together. According to him, Adam was also sitting in a corner of the hall, and someone said that the prophets had gathered to make a decision about Afghanistan.
Citing this dream, he claims that the Taliban’s rise to power was based on an agreement among the prophets and uses this account to justify support for the group.
