Local sources in Ghazni province say that Taliban officials severely beat a driver following an argument over the payment of a “road toll.”
According to the sources, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, 7 Sunbula, at one of the centers in Ghazni where tolls are collected from vehicles. The sources added that the driver argued with Taliban officials over what was described as “overcharging” and was then beaten by several officials.
In a video sent to Panah Press, several individuals can be seen pursuing a man in a deserted area and then beating him. However, the identities of the individuals shown in the video and the exact details of the location of the incident have not been independently established.
Taliban officials in Ghazni have not yet commented on the incident.
