The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has announced that 69.45 jeribs of land in the so-called “Ehsan Mina” township in Bagrami District of Kabul have been determined to be “state property” following a ruling by the Special Court for Cases of Usurped State Lands.
The ministry said today, Sunday, September 6, that the Special Court for Cases of Usurped State Lands in the central zone reviewed documents and evidence concerning more than 364 jeribs of land belonging to the “Ehsan Mina” township and, as a result, determined that 69.45 jeribs of it were state property.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the land is located in Kamari village of Bagrami District, Kabul Province. The case had previously been referred to the special court by the Commission for Prevention of Land Usurpation and Recovery of Usurped Lands, based on Article 17 of the Law on Prevention of Land Usurpation and Recovery of Usurped Lands.
The Ministry of Justice said that after reviewing documents and evidence from the occupants and the commission, property records, and information from relevant government agencies, the court issued its ruling regarding ownership of this portion of the land.
The “Ehsan Mina” township is located in Bagrami District in eastern Kabul. The Taliban-run Ministry of Public Works has also previously referred to the area as “Ehsan Mina” in its reports.
