Rawalpindi — Shamso Bibi, known as Ayesha (Gilemana), a 28-year-old Pakistani TikToker, was shot dead by armed motorcyclists on the evening of Friday, August 14, 2026, in the Taxila area of Rawalpindi. Her 15-year-old sister was also seriously injured in the attack.
According to the Taxila police report and a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Shamso Bibi had left home with her sister and brother in a private car when they came under fire near a private petrol station on GT Road. The attackers approached the vehicle from the right side and shot her in the neck. The car then went out of control and crashed into a dumper truck. The assailants fled the scene after the shooting.
Shamso Bibi died on the spot. Her sister, Asmiya, was transferred to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad for treatment.
The victim’s father, Fazal, stated in his complaint that his daughter had been active on TikTok for three to four years and had nearly 1.3 million followers. The family is originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and lives in Faisal Hills near Islamabad.
The complaint names two suspects: Kausar and Javed, also known as Shahin. According to the father, his daughter had financial dealings with them and had repeatedly received death threats over the repayment of money. He also alleged that a man named Kashif, known as Kashi, had lured her out of the house through a phone call.
Rawalpindi police said investigations into the motive and those responsible for the killing are ongoing, and efforts to arrest the suspects are underway. The incident comes amid similar cases involving the killings of TikTok personalities in nearby areas.
