Reporters Without Borders: Shutting Down Tamadon TV Under the Pretext of a Property Dispute Is an Unjust Decision

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has called on the Taliban to immediately reverse their decision to suspend the operations of Tamadon TV.

According to the organization, Taliban forces raided the broadcaster's office in Kabul on June 23, sealed the premises, and halted its broadcasts without providing any explanation.

RSF further stated that, despite the existence of a property dispute, the closure of Tamadon TV was carried out without due legal process. The organization described the move as "an unjust decision" and urged the Taliban to respect media freedom and restore the station's operations immediately.
