Nizamuddin Qaisari, a former commander of the public uprising forces in Faryab province, has implicitly threatened Neda Mohammad Nadim, the Taliban’s Minister of Higher Education, with revenge in response to the alleged beating of Hibbatullah Yaquboghlu, a student of Uzbek Language and Literature at Kabul University.
In remarks delivered at an event celebrating the Uzbek language in Tehran, a video of which has recently been released, Qaisari said: “I will take revenge for it.”
The remarks came after Hibbatullah Yaquboghlu alleged in early Hamal this year that Neda Mohammad Nadim had questioned him on the grounds of Kabul University and slapped him in the face because he was wearing an Uzbek cap.
The release of Qaisari’s video has once again brought attention to the alleged incident involving the student and the reactions it has provoked.
