Residents of Dara-e Suf Paeen District in Samangan Province say that attacks by a predatory animal are continuing in the area. In the latest incident, two more people were reportedly injured after being attacked by the animal.

According to local sources, fear of further attacks has prompted residents to take turns guarding their homes at night using sticks.

Last week, a similar attack by a wild animal in Dara-e Suf Paeen District injured 19 people, including women and children. Taliban authorities later announced that they had killed a wolf believed to be responsible for the attacks. However, local residents say that despite the passage of five days, attacks by the wild animal have continued.
