Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s leader, said in a message marking the anniversary of the beginning of the Iran-Iraq War and the second anniversary of the killing of Hassan Nasrallah, the former secretary-general of Hezbollah in Lebanon, that some countries consider Iran the “fourth superpower in the world.”
He added that, based on what he called “divine calculations,” Iran is the “most powerful country in the world.”
Iran’s leader also said that following attacks by Iranian forces, Iran’s enemies are now seeking an end to the war. He stressed that, in his view, the days when Iran’s enemies believed they could repeat the conditions of the past are over and will not return.
The remarks were made in a message marking the anniversary of the beginning of the Iran-Iraq War and the second anniversary of the killing of Hassan Nasrallah.
