Badakhshan, Afghanistan – Residents of Yaftal-e Payin District in Afghanistan's Badakhshan Province staged a protest on Saturday after, according to local sources, Taliban forces allegedly subjected a woman to a body search in the district market and reportedly harassed several other residents.
Local sources said Taliban forces opened fire to disperse the protesters. According to the reports, at least one protester was killed and several others were injured.
