Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has warned immigration applicants to be cautious of false advertisements and misleading promises regarding immigration to Canada.
The department stated that there is no lottery, shortcut, or secret program that can guarantee an individual’s selection for immigration to Canada. IRCC also emphasized that no one can guarantee immigration to Canada or promise faster or prioritized processing of an immigration application.
Canada’s immigration department said that if an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The department urged applicants to obtain information about immigration programs only from official Government of Canada sources.
IRCC also advised applicants to be cautious of individuals who promise guaranteed results in exchange for money. Applicants should not make any payments unless they are using an official IRCC platform, and they should not provide their personal information to unauthorized individuals or unofficial websites.
The warning was issued to help prevent fraud and the exploitation of immigration applicants.
