According to media reports, the Persian language has been removed from the main signboard of Abu Ali Sina Medical University in Kabul. Reports indicate that one of the university’s students said the Persian section of the entrance sign was removed some time ago, while the Pashto language section remains in place.
According to an eyewitness, due to the prevailing security environment, students and university staff are unable to ask university officials about the reason for this action.
The Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the reports. Previously, media outlets had also reported the removal of the Persian language from signboards, official documents, and administrative correspondence in several government and educational institutions across Afghanistan.
