A specialized petroleum quality testing and control center has begun operations in Balkh province with investment from the private sector.
The facility was established at a cost of approximately US$1 million and is intended to test and evaluate the quality of various petroleum products in accordance with technical and international standards.
Yarmohammad Noori, the head of the laboratory, said the center is equipped with more than 30 advanced machines that meet international standards and has the capacity to conduct specialized testing of petroleum products.
The laboratory begins operations at a time when many citizens and drivers have expressed concerns in recent years about the quality of petroleum products available on the market. The new facility is expected to strengthen quality oversight and help increase consumer confidence in petroleum products.
