Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, leader of the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan, says that the killing of Hasib Panjshiri in direct clashes with the Taliban will not extinguish the “fire of resistance” against the group.

Dostum said that following the killing of Hasib Panjshiri, the path of resistance against the Taliban has become clearer, and the struggle to end what he described as the group’s “rule of oppression and tyranny” will continue.

The leader of the National Islamic Movement added that resistance against the Taliban will not stop and that, ultimately, the group’s “rule of oppression and tyranny” will be brought to an end in Afghanistan.

Hasib Panjshiri, a former Afghan military member and an active figure in the resistance against the Taliban, was recently killed in direct clashes with the group.
