Afghanistan Becomes Uzbekistan’s Third-Largest Export Market; $961.5 Million in Six Months

Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee has announced that the value of the country’s exports to Afghanistan reached $961.5 million in the first half of 2026.

According to the statistics, Russia and China ranked first and second among the destinations for Uzbekistan’s exports, while Afghanistan ranked third, with exports reaching nearly $1 billion.

The increase in trade between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan comes as the two countries have focused in recent years on expanding economic, transit, and commercial cooperation.

The figures show that Afghanistan remains one of the important markets for Uzbekistani export goods in the region.
