U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, that the ceasefire understanding between the United States and Iran has come to an end.
Responding to reporters’ questions about the status of the ceasefire, Trump said, “I think it’s over.” He added, “Dealing with them is just a waste of time.”
Trump’s remarks come after reciprocal attacks between Iran and the United States, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire understanding, leading to renewed tensions.
