The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has announced that a successful surgery to repair a heart defect in a four-year-old child was performed at the 400-bed Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Hospital.
According to a statement released by the ministry, the operation was carried out by the hospital’s specialized cardiac surgery team, and the child’s condition has been reported as satisfactory.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense added that the hospital has so far successfully performed 60 surgeries to treat complex congenital heart defects. According to the ministry, specialized cardiac care services at the hospital continue with the aim of treating patients suffering from congenital heart diseases.
