In his remarks at a ceremony marking the opening of the Wakhan-China transit road, he said that security has been established in the country and that no individual or group can take action against the Taliban government. He warned that opponents would face death or arrest.

The remarks come as media outlets have reported several recent security incidents in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province.
