Khalid Amiri, a senior commander of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, has responded to the killing of Hasib Panjshiri, one of the front’s commanders, saying that his place on the battlefield will remain empty forever, but his blood “will never go unanswered.”
In a message posted on X, Amiri described Hasib Panjshiri as a courageous man and a comrade who stood alongside them during difficult years. He added that his loss is a wound that cannot easily be healed.
He said that Hasib Panjshiri’s place on the battlefield will remain vacant, but they will continue the path and the cause for which he fought until his final moments, with stronger determination than ever before.
Hasib Panjshiri, a senior commander of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, was recently killed in clashes with the Taliban. The National Resistance Front also confirmed his death in a statement, saying that he was killed following what it described as a “cowardly ambush.”
The Taliban also announced the death of Hasib Panjshiri on Thursday evening, August 20.
