J.D. Vance, the U.S. Vice President, said that Donald Trump has never stated that his goal was to bring Reza Pahlavi to power as Iran’s new leader.
Speaking with Megyn Kelly, Vance emphasized that if the Iranian people choose to rise up against their government, that is a matter between them and their own government. He added that the primary objective of the United States is to stop Iran’s nuclear program.
