The project was inaugurated in the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. The industrial park is planned to be built on a site covering 1,679 jeribs.
Taliban officials say that once the project is completed, it will provide opportunities for industrialists and contribute to the expansion of domestic industries and production in Baghlan.
According to information from the Taliban’s Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, the detailed plan for the Cham-Qala Industrial Park in Baghlan was previously finalized and approved, with plans for the construction of 332 industrial factories at the site.
