Abdul Latif Mansour, the Taliban’s Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, has criticized the killing of Pakistani civilians, saying that shedding people’s blood without justification is wrong and that the Taliban government should not allow tensions between the two sides to result in the deaths of more Muslims.
The remarks came as Abdul Latif Mansour said at a ceremony marking the opening of the transit road between Badakhshan and China’s Xinjiang that reactions should not reach a point where more Muslims in both countries become unjust victims of these attacks.
He also said in his remarks that sometimes “our brothers” become emotional and ask what the daily Pakistani bombardments mean.
According to the Taliban’s Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, the group has not yet achieved full self-sufficiency and needs to make greater efforts to defend Afghans so that, on the one hand, it can defend Afghans and, on the other, prevent reactions from causing bloodshed and the killing of innocent people.
